Dongsan Medical Mission and Welfare Association

Dongsan Medical Mission and Welfare Association was founded during an evangelical meeting in October 1921, for the purpose of disease treatment, public health promotion, and holistic healing. In 1951, based on 'medical evangelists for remote areas,' the hospital provided free medical services in rural areas that could not benefit from medical services. In the 1960, the association focused its efforts in orphanages, local communities, and comprehensive public health services. In the 1980s, the group changed its name to 'free medical service evangelical group' and provided volunteer work (for poor people, social welfare facilities, foreign workers, disabled people) and overseas mission. On June 10, 1991, the Dongsan Medical Mission and Welfare Association was established as a corporation that provides medical volunteering and overseas medical mission activities.

Purpose

• The purpose of this corporation is to provide medical volunteering and welfare based on Christian spirit

• Medical volunteering and public health project for remote areas and poor people in Korea

• Local healthcare project and medical volunteering for Koreans living abroad and local people

• Foundation and operation of medical facilities for Koreans living abroad and local people

• Christian faith improvement and mission among the members and patients

• Other projects to achieve the purpose of mission
