The Department of Pediatric Surgery actively provides early diagnosis and surgery for surgical diseases of the newborn, pediatric colon and anus, biliary atresia, etc. It introduced rectal aspiration biopsy for the first time in Korea, with high level of accuracy, and developed ultrasonography for jaundice for the first time in the world, gaining recognition for its competence in diagnosis and treatment.
